Force Protection Appoints Chief Operating Officer
LADSON, S.C. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Force Protection, Inc. (NASDAQ: FRPT), a leading designer, developer and
manufacturer of survivability solutions and provider of total life cycle
support for those products, today announced an organizational change to
its management structure.
The Board of Directors has appointed Randy Hutcherson Chief Operating
Officer effective February 18, 2010. He will continue to report to
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Michael Moody and will assume
responsibility for the day to day operations for Force Protection. Mr.
Hutcherson joined Force Protection as Executive Vice President,
Programs, Global Sales and Business Development in April 2009. He came
to Force Protection from EADS North America where he held the positions
of Vice President, Tanker Programs and Vice President, Rotorcraft
Programs. Prior to his employment by EADS, he was Director, Government
Affairs for Textron Corporation, with responsibility for developing,
planning and implementing strategic communications to maximize
congressional and executive support for programs and issues of interest
for Textron and its subsidiary companies.
Mr. Hutcherson served 26 years in the United States Marine Corps in a
variety of capacities and retired as a Colonel in the Marine Corps
Office of Legislative Affairs in 2002. He holds a B.S. in Aerospace
Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, an M.S. in Systems
Management from Troy State University, and an M.S. in National Security
Strategies from the National War College.
