Second Robbery in a Month At Folsom Pharmacy
Folsom Police are investigating an early evening robbery at a local pharmacy that has many similarities to one only a month ago.
At about 6:31 pm this evening employees of Folsom Medical Pharmacy, located in the 1300 block of E. Bidwell Street, called 911 reporting that the business had been robbed.
Employees told police a masked man entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded pain medication. He then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of the controlled substance. The suspect is described as a white male, weighing about 200 lbs, 6'0". He was wearing a ski mask and a red sweatshirt. No vehicle was seen.
The employees' description of the suspect and the manner in which the crime was committed had similarities to one that happened at the same business on January 25, 2010. In that robbery, a masked gunman entered the business about the same time of day and demanded pain medication before fleeing on foot.
No one was injured during either robbery.
Police are asking for the public's assistance with identifying this man. Anyone with information may contact WeTip at 1-800-78-CRIME or www.wetip.com. Callers will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
