Bodog Brands' in Agreement with IOC for Integrity of Winter Olympics
LONDON , February 18, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The two licensees of the Bodog
brand that are accepting wagers on the Winter Olympics have reacted to a
request from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to safeguard the
integrity of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics and report any suspicious
betting activity.
In a letter from Alwyn Morris, a gold medallist himself in the Summer
Olympics of 1984, and CEO of the Morris Mowhawk Gaming Group (MMGG) who
operate Bodog.com, to the IOC, he confirmed; "MMGG understand and support the
IOC position and are keen to assist. To this end we will amend our Terms and
Conditions to enable us to communicate any irregular gaming activity relating
to the Olympics from Bodog.com and will pass on details of activity deemed to
be irregular."
Bodog Europe, the licensee who operate Bodog.co.uk and Bodog.ca,
regulated and licensed by the gaming board of the UK Government-approved
jurisdiction of inAntigua, have also offered similar sentiments to the IOC.
