Helena Bonham Carter Doesn't Mind Being Called a "Disastrous Dresser"

The 43-year-old actress is famed for her gothic style, and is often seen with pale skin and dark hair. She favours Vivienne Westwood gowns, regularly pairing them with haywire hair and big black boots. Her look means Helena is often condemned by fashion industry professionals, but she has no intention of toning things down.
"I'm often criticised for what I wear. That's my main label in the press now: disastrous dresser," she laughed. "Well, no, sometimes it's really offensive, but it's kind of affectionate now."
Helena has two children with her partner, film director Tim Burton. She acknowledges the pair are often seen as the "bonkers couple" due to their penchant for unusual clothing, but insists they aren't true Goths. Helena has revealed they are now so used to being teased for their appearance they play up to it.
"Goths? I don't like the music particularly, I've got no goth records. Is it the predominant black? The make-up? And the whiteness? The white thing. Yes... Tim sometimes puts grey make-up on for the press and he doesn't tell me, so afterwards I'm like, 'You're ill!' He goes, 'Nah, it's the grey make-up. Heeheeehee,'" she laughed.
