Mercury Cable & Energy Announces an Exclusive North American Agreement with ACA Conductor Accessories

DANA POINT, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Mercury Cable & Energy ("Mercury Cable" ), the leading developer of High Voltage Composite Reinforced Conductors ("HVCRC" ) for electrical transmission lines, is pleased to announce that it has signed an exclusive five year agreement with ACA Conductor Accessories ("ACA" ), a division of AFL Telecommunications LLC. Under the terms of the agreement, ACA is the exclusive supplier of hardware accessories for Mercury Cable's HVCRC product line in the United States and Canada. In consideration for exclusive status, ACA agrees to make Mercury Cable their exclusive purchaser (excluding 3M) of hardware accessories for composite conductor.

Mercury Cable approached ACA after extensive analysis of the High Temperature Accessory marketplace and in consultation with General Cable. Their outstanding reputation with U.S. utilities combined with their previous experience with composite conductors makes them an ideal partner for Mercury Cable and General Cable.

ACA's product offering includes compression fittings for transmission conductors, bus conductor, substation accessories, motion control devices, Alumoweld and Copperweld. ACA also offers engineering, training and testing services.
