Interesting UFO Reports For Closer Inspection

There have been a number of interesting UFO reports in the news recently and I have selected a couple of these for closer inspection.

"MYSTERIOUS JELLYFISH" SEEN IN THE SKY

Our first story concerns a "mysterious jellyfish" seen in the sky over Norway. It is believed that this sighting was caused by "light from the aurora being bounced off a space satellite". However, this has not been confirmed and could be almost anything.

Some have suggested that HAARP may be responsible (one earlier report blamed this facility on the Haiti earthquake).

Whilst the image will remind some of an episode from Star Trek (Farpoint), it seems unlikely that it is alien in nature.

UFO MYSTERY OVER CANADA

There was a report yesterday on CBC News about a "missile-like object soaring through the sky" over a small rural community in Newfoundland Monday night. This was followed by "three similar objects flying through the air minutes apart, one up close and two farther off in the distance."

Information given about the objects has been confusing. The article stated "police say they'd gotten to the bottom of the mystery." Yet Sgt. Wayne Edgecombe said "he couldn't reveal what the police investigation uncovered"

Some of the residents in the Harbour Mille area were told that the objects were "test missiles launched from the nearby French islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon" and whilst this seems a reasonable explanation, Sgt. Edgecombe said "that rumour is completely false"

Apparently, the French Ministry of Defence posted a message on its website confirming it had launched a missile from a submarine this week, but the time and direction didn't match with what was reportedly seen over the south coast of Newfoundland.

Oddly enough, the "Spiral Light" seen over Norway was also allegedly caused by a missile launched from a Russian submarine.

Is it possible that so many missiles could be flying over civilian air space and launched by submarines? If it is, it sounds a little dangerous, unless this story is covering up some other activity?
