Vivakor Announces Launch of New Product Research, VivaAuris

Vivakor, Inc. (OTCBB: VIVK) today announced the launch of a research division, VivaAuris. In line with Vivakor's emphasis on research and development of products in the areas of detection and prevention, the VivaAuris division will focus on detection of auditory conditions, which fits neatly with the Company's overall development strategy. The first product in development for the newly launched division is the Opti-Ear detection device, which will be used for at-home detection of the symptoms of middle ear infections. This device is intended to assist parents and caregivers in determining the need for further physician examination.

Vivakor Executive Chairman, Matt Nicosia, discussed the timing and the potential for this new division. "With the continuing efforts in our VivaSight division's optics technology, the VivaAuris division was launched to continue that progression in optics, but with a focus on auditory conditions. The fact that we are able to develop new devices with immediate commercial potential from shared technology, but in different markets, is another validation of our technology commercialization model. We believe the potential market for the Opti-Ear product could be greater than $10 million annually." Clinical and validation studies are expected to commence in summer of 2010.
