American Induction Technologies Responds to Allegations Asserted Against It by Osram Sylvania, Inc.
ANAHEIM, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - American Induction Technologies, Inc. ("AITI") has responded to a
complaint filed against it in United States District Court by Osram
Sylvania, Inc. ("Osram Sylvania"). AITI is represented in this matter by
Christie, Parker & Hale, LLP, a leading intellectual property firm in
Pasadena, California.
Osram Sylvania has accused AITI, which manufactures high-technology
induction lighting fixtures, of infringing a patent issued to Osram
Sylvania in the late 1990s. In its answer to the complaint and
counterclaim, AITI denies Osram Sylvania's allegations, and challenges
the validity of the patent.
"We believe that this lawsuit should never have been filed," stated a
company spokesperson for AITI. "Our customers should rest assured that
we believe we will be successful in this litigation. In the meantime, we
will continue to offer and support our entire line of successful
products, including the 120 Watt Cobra Head model that is presently the
subject of this meritless lawsuit."
