ANAHEIM, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Provo Craft today unveiled the newest innovation in its popular Cricut Electronic Cutter line, Cricut Cake . The new product was displayed at the Craft & Hobby Association Winter Convention and Tradeshow in Anaheim, Calif. Cricut Cake is an easy-to-use personal electronic cutter that precisely cuts gum paste, frosting sheets and much more. By utilizing one simple machine, everyone from beginners to professional cake decorators will save significant time, money and space in their pursuit of creating the perfect cake.

"Just as Cricut changed the paper crafting industry, Cricut Cake is changing the cake decorating industry," said Provo Craft CEO Jim Thornton. "At Provo Craft we know that innovation means doing things differently. We are always working to define new product categories and to expand the value of Cricut for our customers. We believe Cricut Cake does just that - it helps people make every occasion special."

With Cricut Cake, now it's easy to embellish a simple cake purchased from a bakery; create an elegant, professional-looking wedding cake; or create themed cupcakes or sugar cookies for any party. Cricut Cake is the perfect companion to make every occasion in life special. Whether an amateur or professional cake decorator, Cricut Cake will enhance the creativity of its user with its unique cartridge content. Users can choose from Cricut's already vast library of shapes, images and fonts, and also use all-new cartridges specially made for cake decorating. Users can also easily change the size of their cuts from .25" up to 24" long to suit their needs.

Cricut Cake saves time because it cuts so quickly and precisely; it saves money as it eliminates expensive gum paste cutters; and saves space because decorators no longer need loads of bulky accessories and multiple sizes of cutters. Cricut Cake has been specially designed with food-safe materials and other features to serve cake decorating needs. It features food-safe tools and other optional accessories.

Cricut Cake's suggested retail price is $399. For more information, visit www.cricutcake.com. Images are also available for the press.
