Man Dies of Cold in Tropical Florida
By Claudia Strasbaugh
For the first time ever in memory and news reporting, a person has frozen to death in south Florida.
This week a man was found dead from the cold in his heatless apartment shared with his room mate. Wilfredo Arreyes had no heat, and no blankets when police discovered the 77 year old man's body.
His room mate, who shared the abode, was taken to the hospital, police in Coral Gables said, suffering hypothermia-type injuries including frostbite.
Fire-rescue crews found two men - one unconscious, one semi-conscious - They transporte4d 93 year old Miguel Aleman to the hospital in serious condition suffering hypothermia-type injuries, including frostbite, in the 1000 block of Northwest Second Street.
So much for global warming.
