SAN FRANCISCO - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Wells Fargo Family Wealth appointed Patricia Armstrong head of Family Dynamics, expanding its services that help clients manage the issues multi-generational wealth can often produce.

Family Wealth, Wells Fargo's multi-family office business, serves families with wealth in excess of $100 million and a minimum of $50 million in liquid assets, advising clients with multigenerational wealth in the creation, growth and evolution of the family's financial enterprise.

The Family Dynamics program takes a holistic approach in helping clients overcome the recurring personal, familial and financial dilemmas that affect how a family handles its wealth and each other. Armstrong will lead a team of professionals who offer consulting services on wealth transition, trusteeship training, family governance, effective communication, conflict resolution, and the coordination of outside professional resources, as needed. Previously, she was the human resources director for Wells Fargo Wealth Management. Armstrong joined Wells Fargo in 1990 and has held several management roles within the corporate human resources organization. She received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University and a doctorate in counseling psychology from Southern Illinois University.

Arne Boudewyn also joined the Family Dynamics team as a family wealth consultant, and will engage with families to promote communication and financial literacy for future generations, and assist with clarifying family values and legacies for sustainable wealth. Previously, Boudewyn was vice president for Wells Fargo Corporate Human Resources, responsible for managing various human resource customer service and consulting groups. Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2003, he served as regional manager for Kaiser Permanente's behavioral health education program. Boudewyn is a licensed psychologist with a bachelor's, master's and doctorate degree from the University of Massachusetts, and clinical training from Harvard Medical School and the University of California, San Francisco.

HIRES NEW REGIONAL TALENT

Additionally, the company announced Mary Mewha as regional managing director and Kevin Long as wealth consultant, focused on new client development.

Mewha rejoined the company as the new regional managing director for Family Wealth. Based in San Francisco she will be responsible for growing and managing the business for the Northern California, Mountain Northwest and Southern regions. Before returning to Wells Fargo, she was the head of family wealth at First Republic Bank and held executive positions at US Trust. Mewha first joined Wells Fargo in 1991. Mewha is a designated Certified Investment Management Analyst and Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.

Long joined the Wells Fargo Family Wealth team as a dedicated wealth management consultant and will focus on identifying and developing new clients within the Western markets. He joins the team with more than 13 years of experience in both regional and national consulting. Previously, Long was with Wells Fargo Private Bank, and also held executive positions at News Corporation and Disney.

"Growing Wells Fargo's family wealth business is a priority for us this year, and clients are looking for high-level professionals they can trust, in light of the economic problems our country has faced for nearly two years," said Michael A. Cole, Wells Fargo Family Wealth's executive vice president and Western division leader. "The dedicated professionals we've brought on board offer a depth of industry knowledge and leadership experience that will benefit the organization greatly as we continue to expand our presence in the ultra-high-net-worth space."
