Baldwin Introduces Luxury Hardware with Home Connect at CES 2010
LAKE FOREST, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Baldwin Hardware, manufacturer of architectural door and decorative
hardware, introduces its latest security advancement, a keyless access
control product offering with Home Connect . Home Connect technology
enables these keyless electronic locks to communicate wirelessly with
other devices in the home by remote access, mobile phone, touch panel or
secure Internet connection. Baldwin will showcase its new innovative
hardware at CES in Las Vegas, January 7-10, 2010 at its booth in the
Digital Times area (North Hall #3409) as well as at the Control4 Partner
Pavilion (North Hall #21407). CES is managed by the Consumer Electronics
Association and is billed as the world's largest consumer technology
tradeshow.
Home Connect allows door locks to wirelessly speak to other systems
within a house, such as security, lighting and entertainment systems.
Homeowners may create a series of living environments, so that upon
entrance, they are greeted by their own ideal specifications. In
addition, locks with this technology allow homeowners to check door lock
status and arm/disarm security systems from virtually anywhere.
Baldwin plans to initially offer two entry styles with Home Connect in
spring 2010. Also, in supporting both ZigBee and Z-Wave wireless
protocols homeowners are offered the most complete wireless solution.
Moving forward in 2010, to ensure the seamless integration of Baldwin's
access control products, additional partnerships within the home
automation and security industry will be announced.
