Traffic Officer Injured in Single Motorcycle Collision
A Folsom motor unit was making a u-turn to catch up to a vehicle code violator when his motorcycle lost traction and fell to the asphalt at approximately 2:30 this afternoon.
The officer was in the 200 block of Blue Ravine Road when the single vehicle collision occurred.
After being transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the officer, a ten year veteran of law enforcement and a senior member of the traffic unit, was diagnosed with a broken leg, broken clavicle, dislocated thumb, and a concussion. He is expected to be held overnight for observation.
