Nevada Company Bypasses Environmental Problems of Nitrogen Fertilizer
By Alan Gray, NewsBlaze
While it seems everyone is talking about carbon dioxide, there is another greenhouse gas with hundreds of times more impact per unit volume, polluting the atmosphere.
Nitrous Oxide (N2O) is one of six main greenhouse gases, the other five being carbon dioxide, methane, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons, and sulfur hexafluoride.
The use of nitrogen-rich fertilizer and manure for agricultural soil contributes substantial quantities of nitrous oxide into the air, making nitrous oxide responsible for around 20% of the heat retension in the atmosphere.
This week, the USDA Agricultural Research Service said it is currently investigating how farming affects emissions of the greenhouse gas nitrous oxide.

Itronics (OTC: ITRO) says it's environmentally-friendly family of GOLD'n GRO liquid fertilizers is responsible for a boom in sales. On Tuesday, the company reported fourth quarter sales would grow 100% over fourth quarter last year, with the expectation of a similar growth trend next year.
Dr. John Whitney, Itronics President, explained that the Company's family of "green fertilizers" where seeing increasing demand while at the same time saving farmers money, "because of their excellent results in the field," explained Whitney.

Farmers have two main criteria, when purchasing fertilizer, results and cost, and this is where Itronics products hit the sweet spot. The GOLD'n GRO family of 'green fertilizers' provide farmers with substantial savings, as other, nitrogen-based fertilizer products increase in cost.
Now, with the government interested in cleaning up the agricultural environment, Itronics' years of market development is set to pay big dividends.
With the prospect for sales rising, Itronics has already arranged financing to secure the raw materials and manufacture the GOLD'n GRO fertilizer products.
Axcess News reported Itronics President, Dr. John Whitney said, "Doubling of fourth quarter sales indicates the effectiveness of our fertilizer. We expect this trend to continue in 2010."
Headquartered in Reno, Nevada, Itronics Inc. is a "Creative Clean Technology" Company that produces GOLD'n GRO liquid fertilizers and pure silver bullion. Itronics, through its subsidiary, Itronics Metallurgical, Inc., is the only company with a fully permitted "Beneficial Use Photochemical, Silver, and Water Recycling" plant in the United States that converts spent photoliquids into pure silver and GOLD'n GRO liquid fertilizers.
