Standing At The Front Gate of Our Military Bases
Cindy Sheehan Protestors Target South State Military Bases
I would like to thank Cindy Sheehan for standing at the front gate of our military bases and forcing the families with young children who live on the base to have to drive through that mess. I am sure the parents really enjoy answering questions to their young children about why so many people, "hate mommy and daddy for doing their jobs". Those are fun conversations. I especially like seeing them, "resist, refuse, don't go...: to the troops themselves.
From the family's view it reads..."ruin your career, give up our benefits, quit your job, get a bad conduct discharge, never get a job again and lose the ability to take care of your family because you decided to refuse to go". I think it is a very reasonable request that she should expect from the troops.
So, thanks again Cindy for showing how much you love and support the troops by forcing families into uncomfortable conversations, and letting our children know that there are people out there that think Mommy and Daddy are going to hell for following orders and protecting the country they live in. I am sure that was what her son would want...to make his friends and military family know how much his mother DOES NOT support our troops and does not understand what he gave his life for.
Thanks Cindy!
I'm all about expressing yourself through peaceful protest but, why don't you keep the protests going to people making those decisions and not the ones that have been trained to follow orders. Do not protest in front of the troops and make them suffer for decisions policy holders make. I am not even sure if she and her supporters realize that when they protest in front of the bases the only people they really affect are the families of the troops who sit quietly by showing real support.
