Video SCRABBLE Makes Its Gaming Debut at Foxwoods Resort Casino
MASHANTUCKET, Conn. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - In what's sure to be happy news for word aficionados and slot fans
alike, Foxwoods Resort Casino today announced that it has teamed up with
Lightning Gaming, Inc., a leading software game developer for casinos
and entertainment venues worldwide, to offer the first installation of
Video SCRABBLE - a new slot machine based on the popular game SCRABBLE -
at Foxwoods.
"We're thrilled to be able to offer our guests the first opportunity
anywhere to play the new Video SCRABBLE," said Michael Speller,
President of Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprises (MPGE). "This
exclusive debut is yet another example of how the Foxwoods team is
continually working to offer unique and exciting products and services
to our casino visitors."
Video SCRABBLE is a bonus slot machine that engages players with a
simple two-draw game play. The object of the game is to score the
highest possible word using the official SCRABBLE tournament word list.
Video SCRABBLE doesn't require spelling or vocabulary expertise, as the
game will instantly reassemble drawn letters to form the highest
possible word score and will automatically provide word definitions,
thereby adding an enjoyable learning aspect to the game. A Video
SCRABBLE game demonstration and top word scores are available at www.videoscrabble.com.
"We're excited for Foxwoods guests to be the first to experience Video
SCRABBLE," said Brian Haveson, CEO of Lightning Gaming, Inc. "The
property has long been known for its commitment to offering visitors the
finest gaming products, so launching Video SCRABBLE here is a natural
fit."

The Mashantucket Pequots are a native Algonquin people in southeastern

Puritan Colonists in 1637, the Pequots and their repatriation is an
unprecedented story of restoration exhibited in detail at the Tribe's
