Arrive Relaxed: The New PXC 310 and PXC 310 BT Travel Headphones From Sennheiser

With the new PXC 310 and PXC 310 BT travel
headphones from Sennheiser, you are sure to arrive at your destination
fully relaxed. Sennheiser's renowned acoustics deliver a detailed, lifelike
sound image while the patented NoiseGard(TM) 2.0 noise-canceling technology
reduces the noise of trains or planes by up to 90 percent. And for the
first time, Sennheiser is offering a new Bluetooth®-equipped headphone:
the PXC 310 BT combines all the advantages of Sennheiser's travel
headphones with the new apt-X® Bluetooth coding technology for wireless
listening when you're on the move.
The PXC 310 and PXC 310 BT travel headphones are designed for use with
portable video and audio players and are ideally suited for connection to
in-flight entertainment systems. Powerful neodymium magnets and
Sennheiser's patented Duofol(TM) diaphragms ensure a clear, lifelike sound
image with a frequency response of 15 to 22,000 Hertz.
Wireless enjoyment on the move
The PXC 310 BT delivers the same top-quality sound as the PXC 310, with the
added benefit of wire-free, listen-only transmission. "The new apt-X codec
provides Bluetooth transmission with minimum delay and excellent audio
quality," explained Maurice Quarré, head of product management for consumer
electronics at Sennheiser's global headquarters in Wedemark, Germany.
"Music and speech are reproduced in outstanding quality, while still
allowing you complete freedom of movement."
The apt-X coding technology for compressing audio data was originally
developed for use in the professional audio and broadcasting sectors.
Sennheiser is one of the first manufacturers to incorporate this technology
into consumer headphones.
"Sennheiser makes no compromises when it comes to the sound quality of its
wireless headphones," said Stephen Wray, vice president of licensing at
apt-X. "The use of apt-X means that Sennheiser customers can now enjoy what
we call 'audiophile Bluetooth stereo.'"
The PXC 310 BT can be connected to all Bluetooth-compatible audio sources.
Sennheiser Bluetooth dongles (sold separately) ensure compatibility with
devices that do not support apt-X technology, or lack Bluetooth altogether.
If the use of Bluetooth devices is not permitted during a flight, simply
attach the included cable and in-flight connector.
For relaxation: Sennheiser's NoiseGard(TM) technology
Sennheiser's NoiseGard 2.0 technology guarantees undisturbed listening
enjoyment and relaxed traveling. By generating an anti-noise audio signal
that counteracts ambient noise, the system reduces background disturbances
by up to 90 percent. This technology was originally developed for pilots
and has been successfully used in the cockpits of major airlines for
several decades. And if you'd like to chat with your neighbor during a
flight, the convenient TalkThrough(TM) function makes it possible to hold a
conversation without removing the headphones. At the push of a button,
miniature microphones on the headphones pick up the surrounding voices
while an electronic circuit filters out surrounding noise, allowing you to
hear them clearly.
Perfect traveling companion
Both models feature convenient controls directly on the earpieces. The
controls allow you to activate and deactivate the NoiseGard and TalkThrough
functions and to regulate the volume. On the PXC 310 BT model, the control
unit can also be used to activate Bluetooth transmission and to navigate
your playlists. Soft padding on the ear cups and headband guarantee a
comfortable fit, ensuring that the headphones remain comfortable even
during long journeys.
After use, just fold up the headphones and store them in the included
carrying pouch. Also included with the PXC 310 BT is a battery charger
with adapters for a wide range of countries, which ensures you can recharge
the lithium polymer batteries for wireless listening no matter where you
are.
The PXC 310 and PXC 310 BT are available in stores and online now.
