Comcast and TV Guide Network Reach Agreement to Bring Consumers Premier Television Entertainment
LOS ANGELES - (BUSINESS WIRE) - TV Guide Network, a leading entertainment network reaching more than 80
million households, announced an extension of a multi-year carriage
agreement with Comcast that will bring Comcast customers original
programming, comprehensive program listings and the latest information
on the best programs, hottest stars and latest trends in entertainment.
Under its new ownership by Lionsgate and One Equity Partners, TV Guide
Network has taken several steps toward transforming its programming in
recent months. It announced the basic cable acquisition of the HBO
comedy series "Curb Your Enthusiasm," which will begin airing on TV
Guide Network starting in 2010. It also acquired the exclusive basic
cable off-network rights to the award-winning series "Ugly Betty," which
is currently airing on TV Guide Network.
