As Unemployment Skyrockets...Richard Basciano's 6th Annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner and Entertainment Comes to Times Square to Make the Best of the Worst of Times
NEW YORK, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- It couldn't come at a better time during perhaps the worst of times for our economy.
Once again Richard Basciano is opening the doors of his 42nd street venue, the Times Square Arts Center, to the city of New York on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2009.
Only this year, the event comes as unemployment is rampant and people need a cheer up and a helping hand more than ever.
This is the 6th anniversary of Mr. Basciano's tradition of extending his thanks and generosity to the community by offering the under-privileged a complete Thanksgiving dinner with all of the trimmings-for free!
The Times Square Arts Center's Thanksgiving Day dinner is the venue's way of thanking the community for its many years of patronage.
Doors will open and food will be served at 1:00pm until 6:00pm. There will be continuous free entertainment in our main theater. Every year, the Showstoppers volunteer and perform their fun musical acts throughout the evening. Along with the Showstoppers, there will be musicians, comedians, karaoke and other acts to entertain our guests.
The Times Square Arts Center is located at 669 Eighth Avenue, between 42nd and 43rd streets.
