Moller International, Inc. Announces Virtual Test Flights of New Flying Car
DAVIS, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Moller International (OTCBB: MLER) is excited to announce that it has
created a full-featured flight simulator package for use by all who have
been eager to operate the Skycar, the Company's unique "roadable"
aircraft.
This plug-in for Microsoft Flight Simulator (version 2004 and FSX)
features vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL), the technology which
distinguishes the skycar from the rest of the aviation marketplace. Also
included are level flight capabilities featuring the Skycar's newly
redesigned folding-wing configuration (see www.moller.com
for more information). "The simulator is intended to provide familiarity
with the controls and capabilities of the production version of the
aircraft," stated Dr. Paul Moller, President of Moller International.
The Company hopes that user feedback on the layout of the cockpit and
controls will enable it to further refine the ergonomic design of the
aircraft prior to entering production.
With over 7,000 copies of the file already downloaded, the Skycar
plug-in provides real-time simulated flights in the Company's highly
anticipated VTOL capable high-speed private aircraft. The Skycar's
design parameters make it extraordinarily easy to operate so the
difficulty of the simulation
was increased to challenge virtual-world pilots by demanding a skill
level that would not be required of the real-world Skycar operator.
The plug-in supports both flight modes, (V)TOL and (F)light, in addition
to a (T)est mode where they can try various flight options as well as a
(C)ar mode for ground operations. The three virtual modes are designed
to provide a sense of the real-life experience the Company expects the
operator of the production Skycar to have. The simulator files are
available from www.flightsim.com
or www.avsim.com
and can be located by searching for "Skycar" on either site.
About Moller International
Moller International is a fully reporting public company (OTCBB: MLER)
that developed and flight-tested a utility or recreational,
two-passenger VTOL aircraft called the Neuera. This was followed by the
development and initial flight-testing of a four-passenger VTOL aircraft
called the Skycar. The Skycar has the potential to provide an airborne
alternative to a significant portion of the miles now traveled by
automobile. Both aircraft use the Company's Rotapower rotary engine,
designed specifically for applications
requiring high power along with low weight, volume, hazardous emissions,
fuel consumption and cost per horsepower.
The Skycar and Neuera have been featured on a number of TV programs
including CBS 60 Minutes "Highway In The Sky", NBC's Today Show "Today's
American Story", and History Channel's "Greatest Movie Gadgets: Then and
Now."
Skycar, Neuera and Rotapower are trademarks of Moller International in
the USA and other countries.
