Informative Graphics Corporation Releases New Brava Flash Document Viewer

Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC), a
leader in viewing, collaboration and redaction technology, today announced
the release of its new Brava!® Flash Viewer. Included in the Brava
Enterprise 6.2 ActiveX version, the Brava Flash Viewer provides interactive
document viewing for the Windows and Mac operating systems and a range of
web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome.
Like Brava's ActiveX client, the Flash Viewer supports virtually any
format, including documents, images, and even CAD drawings, and delivers
them in a secure and highly streamlined interface.
The Brava Flash Viewer is the company's first foray into Rich Internet
Application (RIA) offerings. It combines a simple interface with a highly
interactive experience to make skimming through a document fast and easy.
The interface supports a dynamic viewing mode that makes it possible to
read through very large corporate documents in an eReader-like interface.
Adobe Flash is a ubiquitous, powerful graphics platform, making it an easy
choice for customers looking for a document viewer with zero footprint on
the end user machines. According to Gary Heath, CEO of IGC, "Rich
Interface Application technologies like Flash will lead to new ways for
people to interact with documents. They offer not only the opportunity to
provide an enjoyable and interactive interface, but also a more consistent
user experience across browser and hardware platforms, including mobile
devices."
Heath explains, "We elected to use RIA technology like Flash over AJAX and
Java Script because we plan to add more robust functionality to the Brava
Flash Viewer in the near future." Heath notes that this premier version
includes viewing only, but Brava Flash Viewer 1.1, scheduled for release in
Q1 2010, will feature the ability to review annotations and offer different
view modes and term-hit highlighting, among other enhancements.
