CrowdStar Unveils Agile Business Model With Launch of Its Second Major Game in Two Months: Happy Pets(TM)
First Major Hit Happy Aquarium(TM) Secures Number 3 Position on Facebook With 7.5M Daily Active Users

CrowdStar International Limited (CSIL)
today officially unveiled its agile business model with the announcement of
its second major title within two months: Happy Pets which is expected to
cross 1M DAU within days of its launch last Thursday. In Happy Pets, users
adopt kittens and take care of them as they grow into cats. Unlike other
games, the focus is on caring for and loving your pets rather than
production for sale.

CrowdStar was founded by web entrepreneur Suren Markosian with co-founder
Jeffrey Tseng in 2008, and nurtured by Peter Relan, Executive Chairman and
lead angel investor. The company has fewer than 20 employees focused on
developing and monetizing high quality flash based social games on Facebook
which currently use direct payments as the only means of monetization.
Since its founding, CrowdStar has built games on Facebook including a
trivia game called Know-It-All-Trivia, a social causes game called Save The
Reef and a Battle RPG Game called WW II. Through these experiences the
company has developed a new kind of development process for social game
development and management, in contrast to the traditional studio model of
development. The first successful result of this model has been Happy
Aquarium which has achieved 7.5M Daily Active Users within two months of
launch.
"Everyone understands that Facebook is hugely successful and social gaming
is a huge market and is an inflection point in the gaming industry," said
Peter Relan, Executive Chairman of CrowdStar. "But we also recognize that
the entire value chain, including the way you actually build, deliver and
manage games has also changed, and traditional development models aren't
optimal for this new market. We believe we are building the most efficient,
agile and profitable business model in the industry."
CrowdStar has received only minimal angel funding from Relan, but is
already very profitable and growing rapidly, with new games planned for
introduction on Facebook on a regular basis. Happy Pets, its latest game
introduced last week, is rapidly approaching 1M DAU within days of launch
and is receiving 4.5 star reviews from users for its exceptional art
quality and differentiated look.
Happy Aquarium and Happy Pets are trademarks of CrowdStar International
Limited. Facebook is a trademark of Facebook.
