Eroski Group Selects i2 Solutions to Lower Transportation and CO2 Emissions While Increasing Service Levels
DALLAS - (BUSINESS WIRE) - i2 Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:ITWO) announced today that Eroski Group,
Spain's third-largest retailer with revenue of €9 billion, has selected
the i2 Transportation solutions as the foundation for network modeling,
planning and execution of its inbound and outbound transportation
operations.
Eroski Group has selected the i2 solutions to enable integrated
planning, execution, and monitoring across the entire transportation
lifecycle, allowing the company to minimize transportation costs,
improve customer service levels and reduce environmental impact and
carbon emissions. In addition, the solutions can provide the basis for
continuous improvement for all transportation processes, ensuring Eroski
Group is able to identify and quickly react to changes in market
conditions and real-world constraints.
Eroski Group has experienced large growth rates over the past 10 years.
Today, it has 25 distribution centers delivering more than one million
boxes and more than 20,000 pallets daily. By deploying i2 solutions,
Eroski Group plans to shift from static to dynamic load planning and
also combine inbound and outbound flows. Its goals also include
increasing truck fill rates and reducing the number of trips while
improving service levels to the stores.
