Fannie Mae Stock, FNM, Is A Good Buy, Only A Dollar
Tycoons such as Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. and the gurus of Goldman Sachs petitioned the Federal Treasury at the end of October to buy $1 billion and 2 billion in Fannie Mae (FNM) tax credits. These are two companies who have soared instead of struggled in a time of great financial crisis. These companies saw a tax haven and solid investment for their profitable 2008 trading. When you see solid faith such as this it makes investors stand up and take notice.
Fannie Mae Stock, FNM, Is Only Priced At One Dollar
Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) stock price is currently only one dollar ($1.02) and hit two dollars August 26th. It is easy to take faith in a company such as FNM with previous announcements that the company is taking steps to reach even more borrowers who would benefit from a lower monthly payment. Michael J. Williams, the President and Chief Executive Officer provided this information. He also went on to say "Many borrowers in good standing have been shut out from the benefits of refinancing due to significant declines in property values across the country. By broadening the scope of the initiative, more borrowers will experience savings on their monthly mortgage payments and have a better chance of sustaining homeownership over the long term."
Fannie Mae Stock, FNM, is Helping People Stay in Their Homes
In conjunction with the LTV eligibility expansion, Fannie Mae will offer a special .50 percent reduction in the loan-level price adjustment charged for loans with LTVs above 105 percent and loan terms of 20 and 25 years. The reduction is intended to entice borrowers to select shorter terms and build positive equity in their homes sooner than with a typical 30-year mortgage. These housing recovery statistics and Fannie Mae's ingenious decision to rent out to people who can't afford their homes shows courage and the ability to move forward, to persevere through tough time into a prosperous future. Taking advantage of affordable stock such as Fannie Mae's one-dollar options is a good buy.
