CES Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Award Tendered to SilverPAC as Honoree Home Theatre Accessories

SilverPAC Inc. today announced that it has been named an International CES Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for its product, evolution 5500. Products entered in this prestigious competition are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the media. Awards honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 36 product categories.

Imagine sitting on the couch while watching TV and being able to check sports scores, weather, read e-mail, or control music content streaming from computer to home entertainment system - all without having to get up from the couch to go to the computer. The evolution 5500 Advanced Universal Remote Control - embedded with Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R2 - makes this scenario possible, using new Windows SideShow, Microsoft Media Center Green Button and Windows Live FrameIt technologies. Windows SideShow allows users to conveniently access content on their computer from a secondary display through mini-programs called gadgets. Using a Wi-Fi network, gadgets are able to retrieve and display information from a computer or the Internet onto the universal remote control. The Microsoft Green Button delivers direct control over the digitalent ertainment library on a Windows computer through the Windows Media Center. Computer integration into a home entertainment system means that a wealth of information and media is available at users' fingertips.

The 4.3" color touch LCD gives the control over the home entertainment system, lighting and HVAC, and mobile PC or desktop computer. The convenience of the computer is now integrated into a handy remote that can be used to control entire entertainment system.

With Windows Live FrameIt, personalized photos can be streamed directly to the evolution 5500 from a Windows Live account through an Internet connection as a digital picture frame while the remote is not used.

Products selected from entries as an Innovations' honoree reflect innovative design and engineering. Examples may include the first time various technologies are combined in a single product or dramatic enhancements to previous product designs.
