Advanced Clean Technologies, Inc. Subsidiary Completes Successful Oil Extraction Test of Alberta Oil Sands
Advanced Clean Technologies, Inc.
(PINKSHEETS: ACTH) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary,
American Petroleum Solutions, Inc. (APS), has successfully completed pilot
tests of oil extraction from oil sand samples from the Alberta, Canada Oil
Sands, thus developing another potential revenue source. The APS
technology for the oil reclamation and clean-up process has been used to
complete projects for some of the largest oil and gas companies in the
United States. These companies include ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Avon
Petroleum, Valero Petroleum, as well as the US Navy Petroleum Reserve. The
principals and founders of APS have more than 15 years experience in
providing a wide range of green services, including environmental
remediation, soil remediation and other services for the oil and gas
industry.
Russell Kidder, CEO of Advanced Clean Technologies stated, "Oil sands
recovery processes include extraction and separation systems to separate
the bitumen from the clay, sand, and water which make up the oil sands.
American Petroleum Solutions, using its patented, aqueous, non-hazardous
chemical reagents in an ambient temperature environment, was able to
successfully extract and separate a high percentage of the oil present in
the oil sands sample."
Mr. Kidder went on to say, "Alberta, Canada ranks second, after Saudi
Arabia, in proven global crude oil reserves with 170.4 billion barrels
found in the Alberta Oil Sands. We believe that our process is not only one
of the most efficient, but also the most environmentally-safe approach to
oil recovery from oil sands reserves."
