EchoStar Reports Third Quarter 2009 Financial Results
EchoStar Corporation (NASDAQ: SATS) today
reported total revenue of $483 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30,
2009, a 21.6 percent decrease compared with $616 million for the
corresponding period in 2008.
EchoStar reported a net income attributable to common shareholders of $294
million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2009, compared with a net loss
attributable to common shareholders of $308 million during the
corresponding period in 2008. Basic earnings per share was $3.45 for the
quarter ended Sept. 30, 2009, compared with a basic loss per share of $3.43
during the corresponding period in 2008.
