Chaotic Beverages Recalled Due to Unacceptable Health Risks to Children
U & Me recalled all Chaotic drinks two weeks ago (Oct. 23, 2009) after we were advised that Health Canada had concerns about some ingredients in our products. We agreed to an immediate, voluntary recall, which resulted in the removal of all Chaotic drinks from store shelves in Canada between Oct 26-30.
At the time of the recall, we had been approved by Health Canada for a site license and were in the process of applying for a Natural Health Product (NHP) certification.
Chaotic drinks are made with 100 percent natural sugars, colours and flavours. They are a healthier beverage choice for consumers who seek a change from artificial alternatives. The Chaotic beverage is designed for the Chaotic card game players who know the characters on the cans, and understand the value of the interactive game play codes on each label.
We regret any alarm this has caused with our customers and consumer base, and wish to assure everyone that we are taking the necessary steps to reformulate Chaotic beverage to the standards of Health Canada.
Please feel free to contact me with any further questions regarding this issue.
