Living Conditions are Worse in Jammu and Kashmir

Sr. Vice-President JKNPP S. Daljit Singh said the living condition of the people migrated from the militancy affected areas of Districts Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar, Udhampur, Reasi, Rajouri and Poonch of Jammu Division living in the migrants camps at Belicharana, Jammu, Talwara, Reasi, Sangrampur is the worst.

They have not received relief for months despite the fact that the Supreme Court of India has directed the state and central governments to provide ration and cash relief to the Jammu migrants at par with the migrants of Kashmir.

Unfortunately state government is not releasing the relief to their migrants consequently in order to fulfill the needs of their families. Some have restored to begging, doing pity jobs on the roadside and even some of them have sold their children.

Panthers Party always stood with them from the very beginning and still are pleading their case for justice from the streets to the Supreme Court. Last year the party organized their march from Talwara to Jammu, which was block by the Katra police at Katra in which hundred of migrants beside high office bearers of the Panthers Party were seriously injured.

Mr. Singh said now once again the Panthers Party is organizing the on foot march of the Jammu migrants from Jammu to New Delhi on 20th of November 2009 to press their demand of the release of their relief. The registration of the names of the migrants desirous to join this historic march to Delhi is started in the JKNPP office 30-B Gandhi Nagar Jammu.

All the Jammu region migrants are requested to register their names with the Panthers Party office 30-B Gandhi Nagar, Jammu up to November 19, 2009.
