Break.com and Yoostar Announce Joint Casting Tour Stop in Los Angeles, California
LOS ANGELES - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Break Media, the leading online publisher of content for guys, and
Yoostar, the revolutionary home entertainment system that allows users
to star in their favorite movie and television scenes, today announce a
special joint stop on the Yoostar Casting Tour in Los Angeles, CA, to be
held at Santa Monica's 3rd Street Promenade. A huge crowd of
Hollywood hopefuls is expected to show for Friday's event.
The Yoostar
Casting Tour Contest, sponsored by L'Oreal Paris and Coke Zero,
allows entrants to create and submit a performance using the Yoostar
system, which allows you to insert yourself into a scene and act
alongside or replace the original actors. The tour began in September in
Boston, MA, visiting campuses and malls across the nation. The Top 10
performances from this joint Los Angeles event will be uploaded to a
special Yoostar contest site on Break.com where the tour stop winner
will be selected by Break.com users. A panel of judges, including
celebrity Jamie
Kennedy and Break.com's VP Creative Lab and Editorial, Jon Small,
will select winners from all tour stop finalists. Prizes include:
-
Grand Prize (1): Walk-on role in a 2010 Lionsgate film.
-
Second Prize (1): Walk-on role in a webisode which will air on Alloy
Media + Marketing's Teen.com site.
-
Tour stop winners (23): Yoostar system and prize package from L'Oreal
and Coke Zero.
In addition to hosting Friday's finalist performances on a featured
channel, Break.com
will film a special Webisode this Friday at the live Yoostar Casting
Tour Contest event. A Break.com host will conduct "man-on-the-street"
style interviews, and the best clips will be used to populate the custom
channel.
"Break.com is very excited to be involved in the Yoostar Casting Tour
Contest," said Jonathan Small, VP Creative Lab and Editorial, Break
Media. "Break users love movies, and Yoostar gives them a super cool
and creative new way to appear in some classic scenes with film icons.
The jury is still out on whose acting skills will impress!"
Finalists from the Friday event can be viewed at www.break.com/yoostar
beginning November 15th, 2009.
