Credit Card Security Rules Evolving Faster Than Businesses Can Keep Up
MENLO PARK, Calif., Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ --
WHAT: A flurry of new regulations, guidelines and clarifications
designed to improve credit card security at the point of
purchase has retailers and other organizations that accept
credit card payments - especially their internal audit,
information technology and information security staff -
scrambling. With three new pieces of guidance on the docket for
Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance, as well as larger fines
for non-compliance, these companies face not only external
pressures to beat deadlines but also internal pressures to meet
requirements in a strategic and cost-effective manner.
