NaviNet Executives Lead Healthcare Industry Visionaries at 5th Annual World Healthcare Innovation and Technology Congress

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Several senior executives from NaviNet, America's largest real-time healthcare communications network, will participate in panel discussions and lead sessions at the 5th annual World Health Care Innovation and Technology Congress (WHIT v5.0), held in Alexandria, Virginia from November 8-10, 2009. NaviNet is Lead Educational Underwriter of WHIT v5.0, which brings together senior industry leaders from healthcare technology, government and academia for a three-day forum on the leading innovations that are changing the healthcare landscape.

WHIT v5.0 encourages collaboration among healthcare executives and visionaries to foster and support high-quality, cost-effective healthcare delivery, a vision that NaviNet supports with its commitment to finding new and innovative ways to streamline interaction among health industry participants.   • Timothy Mills, NaviNet senior vice president, Provider Operations, will preside over a leadership summit: "Road to Interoperability: Driving Health Information Exchange to the Next Level." Sessions during the two-day summit will cover various topics, including:
    • The federal government's role in promoting a national health information network
    • Interoperability issues related to standards, security and payers' role
    • Health information exchange, meaningful use and the ARRA
  • During a product demonstration session titled, "Market Insight Innovations: Real Solutions Today for a Healthier Tomorrow," Christopher Buckwell, director of Product Management for NaviNet, will explore the role of the multi-payer communications portal in the exchange of information nationwide among providers, public health officials, payers and patients.
  • At WHIT v5.0, in its booth #4, NaviNet will demonstrate its real-time communication solutions for healthcare payers and providers. Company representatives will also be available to discuss NaviNet Health Information Exchange and NaviNet's recent offer to make NaviNet HIE available to state entities at no cost as the technology backbone for their state HIE initiatives.
