Forrester Report Reveals 167% ROI and Payback Period of 9 Months for WANdisco's Subversion MultiSite
SAN RAMON, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - WANdisco, a leading provider of infrastructure software for replication,
scalability and high availability, today announced the results of
Forrester's Total Economic Impact (TEI) Report for WANdisco's Subversion
MultiSite. Forrester concluded that Subversion MultiSite generated a
return on investment (ROI) of 167% with a payback period of 9 months.
The subject of the study was a Global Fortune 1000 firm in the
semiconductor industry that had Subversion MultiSite in production for
approximately one year at sites in the US and Asia.
Significant benefits and cost savings were found in a broad range of
areas that Forrester attributed to Subversion MultiSite's ability to
provide remote users with real time access to Subversion repositories,
redundancy and elimination of downtime.
Among the key benefits highlighted in the Forrester TEI Report were the
following:
-
Two man-days of developer idle time eliminated each day.
-
Increased developer productivity due to improved network performance.
-
Reduction of build time from 16 hours to 1.5 hours.
-
Ongoing maintenance costs effectively zero.
-
Twice as many builds completed on a daily basis.
-
30% increase in bug fix rates.
-
Elimination of downtime for maintenance.
-
Ability to support twice as many software releases and products.
-
ROI goes up as the number of developers and sites increases.
According to the Forrester TEI Report, "Companies using WANdisco's
Subversion MultiSite will see significant improvements in developer
productivity. ROI will be even greater for organizations with more sites
and developers than the customer used for the study. Using the TEI
framework, many companies will find a compelling business case to make
such an investment."
Forrester's Total Economic Impact (TEI) methodology not only measures
costs and cost reduction, but also weighs the enabling value of a
technology in increasing the effectiveness of overall business processes.
"We are delighted with the results of this independent study," said
David Richards, President and CEO of WANdisco. "This report proves
beyond any shadow of a doubt that WANdisco provides real, tangible value
for our customers. In difficult economic times WANdisco is saving its
customers huge sums of money within the first year or purchase."
