'Making a New Reality Foundation' Announces November 4 Inaugural 'World Game Changer Day;' Series of National 'Change' Events
OAKLAND, Calif., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Not wanting the heady celebrations of the November 2008 election and presidential inauguration to give way to complacency, S. Raye Mitchell, Oakland, California, Harvard Law School graduate and founder/CEO of Making a New Reality Foundation, began work on projects celebrating the spirit and power of the electorate at its source, "We the People."
"'We the people' is a powerful concept in the world," said Mitchell. "It is the power making change possible." She assembled a leadership team and volunteers, secured funding and, armed with a Proclamation from the City of Oakland designating November 4, 2009 "World Game Changer Day," set about reigniting passionate, positive change.
"We are uniting to send a powerful message to leaders 'we the people' can -- and will -- keep the change movement alive and moving forward," stated Mitchell. "'World Game Changer Day' is accessible to all so we can reflect, remember, re-inspire."
The events outlined by Mitchell:
-- Host "virtual" World Game Changer Day events by inviting virtual
friends, family, fellow change agents, community and supporters to logon
http://tinyurl.com/ycbdg9m to get a 'ticket'; linkable to Facebook,
Twitter, mySpace and LinkedIn communities.
-- Host live World Game Changer Day events at home, office or at a
community center, and then email info@ichope2.com with your change
commitment for the next year.
-- Sign the online petition http://tinyurl.com/y9fgd5p for a Congressional
Bipartisan Resolution supporting the inaugural World Game Changer Day.
Noting education is key to creating access and inclusion, Mitchell points to the upcoming Making a New Reality Foundation's "Game Changing Moves -- Change Leadership Symposium," the first in a national series, scheduled for Spring 2010 at the University of California, Berkeley.
