Marc Whitten, GM of Xbox LIVE To Keynote the Streaming Media West Conference

MEDFORD, N.J. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - On Wednesday November 18th, Marc Whitten, general manager of Microsoft's Xbox LIVE group will kick off the show with a morning keynote that will explore how today's advancements in technology and streaming media will impact future entertainment experiences and open new doors for audience engagement. Whitten will also showcase some of the latest developments on the Xbox LIVE platform including instant-on 1080p HD streaming with Zune video on Xbox LIVE, as well as social experiences on the TV with Facebook and Twitter.

Xbox 360 first established itself as video delivery service with the launch of its Video Marketplace in 2006, now offering more than 25,000 pieces of video entertainment content to the global Xbox LIVE community. To date Xbox 360 owners have downloaded more than 54 million movies, TV shows, music videos and featured trailers.
