Energy Composites Corporation Announces Appointment of Adrian Williams as Head of WindFiber Division
WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Energy Composites Corporation (OTCBB:ENCC) announced the appointment of
Adrian Williams, the architect of the Company's WindFiber strategy, as
the permanent head of the Company's WindFiber division. Williams
assumes the position immediately.
Adrian has over 15 years experience in delivering cutting edge blade
technology to the wind industry. He led the development of SP Systems
wind business from its inception to its rise to become a leading global
provider of materials solutions for blade manufacturing. More recently,
Adrian was Head of Gurit wind division and a member of the Swill-based
conglomerate's Executive Committee.
Sam Fairchild, ECC's CEO, stated that, "Adrian is one of the most
respected global experts in the application of composites technology to
wind energy. His work to craft our WindFiber strategy is nothing short
of brilliant, and from production associate to board director, we are
all looking forward to his leadership as we implement the strategy. We
are very pleased that he has joined us on a permanent basis. ECC is
committed to providing Adrian the full resources he needs to get the new
plant constructed and in production by the end of next year and the
research and development center's efforts underway."
Jamie Mancl, ECC's founder and President, noted the importance of
Adrian's contribution to ECC to date, saying "I have worked with Adrian
every step of the way in developing WindFiber over the last year, and I
must say that the depth of his insight into composites manufacturing and
the wind energy market is astounding. The production facility he has
planned will be the most advanced in the world. His blade research and
prototyping center will be the world's first. WindFiber includes his
vision for a unique supply chain strategy to ensure quality and
availability of raw materials at the lowest cost in the industry, his
priority to create the world's first comprehensive and certified blade
training program to support development of workforce excellence, his
commitment to a "without peer" product and manufacturing technology that
will drive the cost of energy down through improved blade reliability,
turbine availability and manufacturing efficiency, and his design for a
comprehensive blade service and logistics framework to deliver minimum
lifecycle costs."
Adrian Williams underscored his commitment to ECC stating, "Linking
ECC's Wisconsin Rapids location, the city's and state's commitment to
supporting the creation of non-exportable, well-paid green jobs, the
remarkable work ethic among the Company's production-associates, and the
innovative thinking of the Company's engineering and management staffs,
with the accelerating improvement in the market conditions of the wind
energy sector will create enormous value for our shareholders, clients,
vendors and employee-associates. The time could not be better. I am very
excited about the opportunity that the Board of ECC has provided to me,
and I look forward to a very successful team effort to make WindFiber
the most successful participant in the North American wind energy supply
chain."
