Author Releases The Mountaintop -- Ruth Rodgers Tells a Touching Historical Saga About Loss, Abuse, Transformation, and Fulfillment
SAN DIEGO, Nov. 3, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ruth Rodgers shares stirring true life stories of two women who in spite of heartbreaking ordeals and suffering, still manage to become strong and motivated in her novel released through Xlibris, The Mountaintop.
The Mountaintop is a historical saga of a pioneer child, named Sarah, just three years of age, who was left an orphan on a Midwest prairie after an Indian raid on their wagon train during the great westward migration. Sarah, the author's grandmother, grew up to become a loving and positive influence in the lives of the next three generations of her family.
It is also the author's own story, who lost her father at an early age, and was left with a mentally ill and abusive mother. In spite of many tribulations, the author was determined to become educated, and live a positive and constructive life. Plagued with an even more abusive marriage, she was able to raise her four young children with love.
During a period of crisis in her life, through quieting the mind and introspection, the author discovered many insights, which brought about a profound transformation in her thinking. This change guided her through an extraordinarily difficult path, toward breaking free from her turbulent and abusive marriage. In this way, she was able to save herself and her children from the ongoing trauma of their lives, in order for them to prosper again, and to be creative and productive individuals.
Honest, triumphant, and poignantly written, The Mountaintop inspires readers to never lose hope. For more information on this book, log on to www.Xlibris.com.
