Louis Vuitton Replaces Madonna With Lara Stone
By Robert Paul Reyes
"Move over Madge there's a new Louis Vuitton model in town.
Yes that's right, Madonna, who has been the face of the brand for two years, has been replaced by pretty (not to mention younger) gapped tooth model Lara Stone." Read More
Madonna is a pop icon, and nobody complains when she graces the cover of Rolling Stone. Madonna may no longer have much of an impact in the music industry, but she's a legend who's still selling out venues all over the world.
But I do have a problem with a 51-year old woman with wrinkled hands and a blotchy face being a model for a designer label. I'm thrilled that Louis Vuitton kicked Madge to the curb, and replaced her with a prettier and much younger model.
Madonna is a gazillionaire, and she didn't need the income from her modeling gig. Laura Stone is the genuine article, and modeling is her livelihood.
Young people, especially women, look up to Madonna as a music and cultural icon, but i'm sure they had a hard time accepting Madge as a fashion model.
Don't shed any tears for the Queen of Pop, her photoshopped image still appears in hundreds of magazines and Web sites.
