Secretary Clinton Congratulates Antigua and Barbuda on Their Independence
On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I congratulate the people of Antigua and Barbuda on their celebration of 28 years as an independent nation on November 1.
Our two nations are bound together by strong economic, cultural, and historic ties, and we share an enduring commitment to democracy and human rights.
We are working together as partners to ensure a brighter future for all our people and the entire Caribbean region. I wish you a joyous Independence Day and reaffirm our strong friendship.
