They as a member of the U.S. Green Building Council are following product and material compliances in order to achieve LEED points under the USGBC certification rating system to achieve environmentally sound sign products.

LEED Signs: "Going Green" Philosophy For LEED Compliant Signs

Baron Sign Manufacturing has taken the initiative to use materials that create the minimum impact on the environment and community while still achieving superior quality signs. Their LEED signage uses LED illumination; acrylic and aluminum back photopolymer, material which contains more than 50% recycled content and low VOC acrylic base polyurethane paint. Each of these materials offer better solutions in quality interior, exterior and way finding signs while protecting the environment from unnecessary toxins and waste.

  • LED illumination-low voltage, more energy efficient, and long lasting and effective brightness.
  • Acrylic/Aluminum Photopolymer-is a sustainable water soluble material made from rapidly renewable bamboo and post consumer recycled content. This material produces no harmful by products during production.
  • Acrylic Base Polyurethane Paint Coating-provides superior coating and full quality color with fewer waste and VOC emissions.
  • LEED Signage: Baron Sign Manufacturing, Florida
