Tony Blair struggling to obtain European Crown for the Elite
By Ian Brockwell
Despite being a "hot" favourite for the position of President of Europe, the support for Tony Blair has not been as easy to obtain as some first thought.
Germany and France have certainly "cooled" on the idea and Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, has shown more of a preference for Herman Van Rompuy of Belgium or Jan Peter Balkenende of the Netherlands.
In Britain, less than a third of voters want to see Blair become the European President, and the only surprise about that is, why so many?
Gordon Brown has of course given his backing for Blair, but this was expected. Brown continues to hope that by sucking up to the Elite (a club that Blair, Mandelson, Bush, Obama and others are members of), he will somehow receive an invitation to join this exclusive club himself. Unfortunately, Brown is what is commonly called a "has been", he has served his purpose and is on the way out (of no further value).
Sadly, the race (whose runners are not elected by the people they are supposed to serve) is not yet over, and Blair could still end up triumphant. But the Elite will obviously have to pay a much bigger price for this to happen (more generous concessions to Germany and France).
To protect Blair's image, we are told that he hasn't officially applied for the position. This provides him with an opportunity to say that "he" turned down the chance (for whatever reason) if the result is likely to be a negative one.
There are many who are wondering why Blair should be considered at all, bearing in mind his past. It was Tony Blair who was responsible for getting Britain involved in the illegal war against Iraq (and Afghanistan) and promoting the "war on terror" with his buddy and former US President, George Bush.
A Palestinian protestor recently called Blair a "Terrorist", and when you compare some of the things he has done over the years (not to mention the things we don't know about) with those we are told are "real" terrorists, maybe the accusation is not that far from the truth.
George Bush and Tony Blair were both involved in a cover-up about the presence of WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction) in Iraq, which resulted in a war that has cost the lives of more than a million, a war that was purposely created to regain control of Iraq's oil.
Afghanistan was part of the plan, as this country is required for an important pipeline for the oil. Pakistan is also part of the puzzle, hence all the recent problems there.
Instead of rewarding Blair with the opportunity of becoming "King" of Europe, he should be facing charges for war crimes, along with George Bush and the leaders of Israel (for their recent attack on Gaza). But instead of punishing the people who are truly guilty, the Elite look after their own and make sure that they are protected, often receiving positions where their help can be employed again.
Those in Europe and the US are beginning to see (more clearly) the double standards that people like George Bush, Barack Obama and Tony Blair have used to promote the agenda of their masters. Slowly, but surely, people are asking why a country like Iran is seen as a potential nuclear threat (when they have no such weapons), yet no one seems to question why it is alright for Israel to have more than 200 nuclear warheads. We should also be asking why so much importance is placed on the "Holocaust", when the millions who have been killed since barely get a mention in the mainstream media. What makes the death of one more important than the other?
Should Tony Blair eventually become the President of Europe, the rest of us should hang our heads in shame, instead of simply accepting what we are given. If the majority of us had the courage to take action against people like this, most of our problems would vanish in an instant. The following quote says it best "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing"
