Certified Management, Inc. of Hawaii Community Managers Receive CMCA Designation from National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers
HONOLULU, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Certified Management, Inc. of Hawaii, an Associa Company, proudly announces Wendy Ferreira and Kanani Kaopua recently earned the credential Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), awarded by the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers(NBC-CAM).
The CMCA credential signifies managers have passed NBC-CAM's national exam and met the requirements for managing condominium, cooperative and homeowner associations. Certified managers must also adhere to the CMCA Standards of Professional Conduct and take continuing education.
Ms. Wendy Ferreira joined Certified in January 2008. She currently manages 9 associations, consisting of 1 single family planned development, 4 townhome developments, 1 light industrial, 1 high-rise building and 2 low-rise buildings. Prior to joining Certified, Ms. Ferreira was an aide to City Council member Todd Apo. With a background in non-profit grant writing, Wendy continues to assist several non-profit foundations.
Ms. Kanani Kaopua joined Certified in April 2008. She is currently the General Manager for one of Certified's homeowner's associations. Her focus is on covenants enforcement and architectural review. The association is comprised of approximately 400 historical plantation homes and 400 newly developed self-help units. Kanani volunteers her time to Family Programs Hawaii as a childcare assistant in the Waianae area. You may have seen her in one of two commercials for Family Programs Hawaii, which is currently on the air.
