180SQUARED's v.Allegro Solution Set Selected by Two Communications Providers - SureWest and RTC - to Rapidly Integrate and Launch New IPTV Services
PLEASANTON, Calif. & ROSEVILLE, Calif. & PARSHALL, N.D. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Today, 180SQUARED announced both SureWest Communications and Reservation
Telephone Cooperative (RTC) have selected their v.Allegro solution set
to rapidly plan, integrate and launch their Microsoft
Mediaroom implementations as part of their IPTV service offerings to
subscribers.
"When we evaluated and selected Microsoft Mediaroom to power our new
Advanced Digital TV service, we also looked for best-in-class software
and services to integrate and manage this complex environment.
180SQUARED's unique expertise and knowledge made us confident in our
selection," said Bill DeMuth, SureWest's senior vice president and chief
technology officer. "180SQUARED's v.Allegro solution set - particularly
the integration and management platform - provides us with a robust and
extensible platform to easily integrate, manage and make future
enhancements to our service."
The v.Allegro solution set consists of v.Orchestra products and
services, including:
-
v.Orchestrator Launch Services ensure service providers receive the
essential support to plan, architect, integrate, and launch their IPTV
solution.
-
v.Maestro IPTV Middleware Integration & Management Platform that
provides the critical entry point into a complex IPTV Middleware
implementation in order to manage, integrate, and police multiple,
disparate B/OSS systems and 3rd party applications.
-
v.Harmonizer Device Provisioning Module, which provides multiple
methods of Set-Top Box (STB) device activation and provisioning.
-
v.Harmonizer Billing Adapter Module that enables the required
extraction and auditing of billing events from the IPTV Middleware to
the billing systems in the formats that the systems require.
-
v.Crescendo Caller ID Application that arms service providers with a
competitive Caller ID solution, including on-screen capabilities, call
logs and notification management to subscribers.
-
v.Crescendo Remote PVR Scheduler Application enables service providers
to offer remote control PVR management from any device to the
subscriber's in-home PVR system.
"We selected 180SQUARED's v.Allegro because it is a comprehensive
solution set for the multiple challenges we were trying to solve to get
our enhanced service up and running quickly. The ease of integration,
advanced management capabilities, and expert professional services
enabled us to go from initial planning to full launch in a very short
timeframe," said Brooks Goodall, Assistant Operations Manager of RTC.
"Our approach to the v.Orchestra set of services and products was to
create extensible building blocks. These building blocks empower both
large and small service providers to explore new business opportunities
and maximize the potential of their current, or future, IPTV
infrastructure investment. The v.Allegro solution set was specifically
designed with this in mind. Easily and rapidly deploy a feature rich
service, as quickly as possible. We're pleased that both SureWest and
RTC are reaping the benefits," said Amir Littman, a founder and Vice
President of 180SQUARED.
