Hardware Independent Imaging Unraveled

-Free imaging webinar launched for UK market-

Binary Resource UK, part of the company that originally developed Ghost, has announced the release of a new, quarterly technology briefing service.  These online webinars are offered free to all IT professionals and will target current issues within the IT world – one per quarter. The first webinar in this series focuses on the subject of hardware independent imaging (HII).

The 60-minute webinar, which is due to take place on 2 November 2009 at 10am (GMT), aims to increase participants’ understanding of the issues surrounding the software cloning/imaging process and demonstrate the cost and time saving benefits that HII can bring.

Annette Dow, director of Binary Resource UK, said: “We have spent the best part of the last decade bringing imaging products to market and educating the IT industry on best practice cloning, so we feel we know the space inside out.”

“The concept of hardware independent imaging is simple: it’s the process of creating a master image of one computer that can then be successfully deployed to multiple desktops or laptops, regardless of the configuration of the target machine. This new webinar will discuss how IT staff can create hardware independent images to dramatically reduce roll-out and installation times, adding huge value to their businesses.”

The webinar will consist of an informative discussion on imaging issues and the range of tools available to enhance the cloning process and a short visual demonstration.

Dow added: “It’s a win/win situation for IT personnel, who can learn about how to minimise the number of image files they need to maintain, thus saving significant time, energy and resources – and what’s more, it’s absolutely free to attend!”
