UFOs "Mining" us for Expressions of Our Unique Human Genome

In reference to: The Existence of UFOs
Much more likely they are "mining" us for expressions of our unique human genome (gene pool). Remember, you can find the elements of the periodic table scattered throughout the universe. As the Crusades proved to us, the only things worth the trouble of travel are things you can't grow or raise at home - biologicals.
In short, IMHO aliens come here (and they don't have to travel at or near the speed of light to do it) for the same reasons Medieval European merchants would go to China, Madagascar or Indonesia: to get stuff that doesn't exist back where they come from. That's what logic tells me. There may also be illogical motives to their behavior, like those of the Knights Templar seeking the Holy Grail.
Whatever they are doing, they screen or obscure their motives and their technology because they know that above all else, we humans are excellent at mimicking the behavior of other organisms around us when it's to our benefit to do so...
