Don't Miss the Night of 1,000 Pumpkins and Fall Fest!

Halloween is quickly approaching which means our first ever events, Nights of 1,000 Pumpkins and Fall fest are coming very soon. The event needs your participation to be a success!

Basic information is listed below. Please, please share this information with your employees.

Night of 1,000 Pumpkins, FRIDAY OCT. 30 4-8 pm - We need every business in the Historic District to participate by bringing a carved pumpkin to display. We will be having a contest for the merchant that brings in the most carved pumpkins will receive a free quarter page ad in the Folsom Telegraph! That's right!

The FHDA really wants this event to succeed. We are depending on you all to bring in pumpkins! There will also be a contest for the merchant who has the most creative, carved pumpkin. This is the time to step up and get involved! Encourage your employees to bring carved pumpkins. Right now, Raley's is having a huge sale pumpkins- 2 for $6!

You can't beat this! Buy pumpkins and give to your employees to carve. Or, bring home and have your family carve! All pumpkins should be turned in to the information booth located in front of Snook's Candy between 4-6. The merchant with the most pumpkins wins free advertising! Also, the merchant with the most creative design will win a prize!

Pumpkins will be lined along the sidewalks of Sutter Street. Sutter Street will remain open during the event! Participants will be invited to participate in a store Scavenger hunt. If you would like to be a stop on the Scavenger Hunt (you will get foot traffic in your door), please email me ASAP. I am finalizing the details right now! You can take your pumpkin after the event or leave it and event staff will clean it up.

FallFest - October 31

The 700 and 800 block of Sutter Street will be closed 8 am to 5 pm. The 600-900 blocks will remain open. The event will take place from 10 am to 4 pm. 62 vendors' craft, food and commercial vendors are signed up. Wagon rides, kids coloring contest, music and more will be taking place. Trick or Treat on Sutter Street will take place from 12-3. Block captains will soon be distributing flyers to hang in your window if you are participating.

Have fun with this event as it is taking place on Halloween! Dress in costume! Decorate your business! The parking garage will be managed by the Folsom Historical Society. Everyone that parks in the parking garage will receive a coupon sheet advertising Historic Folsom businesses. If you would like to participate, please send me your logo and discount by Monday, October 26.
