Canceling UFO Hunters?
UFO Hunters Need to Exist to Make The Public Aware
OK. I read your article about canceling UFO HUNTERS and I completely agree that it should be canceled, but for a different reason than you. Sure, I think the guy in the sunglasses looks pretty funny wearing them in a dark room. I also think it's absurd to be "amazed" by fuzzy images which could be almost anything but a flying saucer.
Of course, none of this has anything to do with history. UFOs are historically significant, but this show has a juvenile perspective which seems to encourage running out in the dark to see blurry things which we cannot identify. It also promotes a completely unfounded belief that whatever people are seeing, which they cannot identify, must be from outer space or some other planet. This I find offensive.
I would love to see a serious show with respectably scientific agents, who pursue bona fide UFO data in a completely objective format. This current show has corrupted the public's view of this subject and simply for the sake of making money. It shows us that an entire cottage industry has been created around the "Roswell Incident", even though this event is probably nothing more than a misunderstanding of something very simple and mundane. This show seems to have little to do with objective curiosity or finding truth. Yes, I hope it gets canceled and replaced by something "good"!
