James B. Nutter & Company Successfully Completes the AllRegs 20 Hour Mortgage Loan Originator SAFE Comprehensive Course
EAGAN, Minn. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - AllRegs, the leading information provider for the mortgage lending
industry, is proud to announce that James B. Nutter & Company has
successfully completed the 20 Hour Mortgage Loan Originator SAFE
Comprehensive Course. This AllRegs Academy course (NMLS Course
Number: 1013), was approved by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System
& Registry on August 17, 2009 and fulfills the entire 20-hour
pre-licensing requirement for Loan Originators. AllRegs became an
Approved Education Provider (#1400024) by the NMLS on July 7, 2009.
Founded in 1951, James B. Nutter & Company maintains a 50-state
licensing platform. With over 300 employees, the company focuses
primarily on FHA, FHA HECM, VA, and Conventional loans. Like many other
mortgage lending companies, James B. Nutter & Company was well aware of
the new regulations established by the Secure and Fair Enforcement for
Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act), which mandates pre-licensing and
continuing education courses for state-licensed mortgage loan
originators.
"We began looking at several vendors that offered SAFE Act
training courses. The quality of service we received from AllRegs was
really beyond the others that we considered," said Al Pitzner, Assistant
Vice President of Compliance for the Kansas City, Missouri-based
company. "Every company is different in size. We were able to bring in
the AllRegs [training] staff and still continue our day-to-day
processes. No one else could have done it but AllRegs."
The 20 Hour Mortgage Loan Originator SAFE Comprehensive Course was
developed by industry experts, using proven instructional methodologies.
It includes instructor presentation to ensure understanding and
retention of knowledge, along with hands on activities designed to reach
all learning styles. The course also includes two practice exams to test
the overall mastery of the course information, and students must receive
a composite score of at least 75%.
"We have a very experienced staff; our average employee tenure is
ten or more years. In addition, we believe that being well informed and
a resource to our borrowers is the way to do business," Pitzner added.
"The AllRegs training focuses on getting people effectively educated and
prepared for the test. Our loan originators thought they were
well-informed before, but now they feel more prepared than they've ever
been."
"AllRegs is proud to be the premier source for SAFE Act education
to help industry professionals meet their licensing requirements," said
Dan Thoms, Senior Vice President for AllRegs. "We appreciate the
opportunity to provide this 20-hour training course to James B. Nutter &
Company's already knowledgeable staff, in order to better prepare them
for their upcoming NMLS License Exam."
State-licensed mortgage loan originators currently are required to
have the 20 hours of pre-licensing education completed by January 1,
2011 or an earlier date set by each state. Non-licensed mortgage loan
originators must have their pre-licensure education completed by July
30, 2010 or a deadline determined by the regulator of the state in which
they do business.
