Massive support to Bhim Singh's 'Samul Kranti'
Several political activists, intellectuals, jurists and old friends of Prof. Bhim Singh hailed the 'Samul Kranti' Abhiyan that Prof. Bhim Singh launched from the site of Student Martyrs, Jammu on October 17, 2009 while paying heavy tributes to the four student martyrs who laid down their lives for the sake of the future generations of Jammu.
Four students were killed in a brutal police firing in Congress rule on the 17th & 18th of October, 1966. The Jammu students were carrying a movement under the leadership of Bhim Singh who was Chief Organiser of Students Congress. The Students were demanding a separate college for Jammu and other professional colleges.
Prof. Bhim Singh while releasing a booklet published by the National Panthers Students Union relating to the students movement in the Jammu region from 1958 to 1978 announced launching 'Samul Kranti' (Ultimate Revolution) (lewy dzzkafr ) Abhiyan from Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari with a strong appeal to the students and youth to join the Abhiyan to wake up the youth and students in the country to demolish the seedlings of corruption, communalism, criminalization and terrorism which are the enemies of peace and progress in the world.
Singh said that the total revolution launched by Lok Nayak Jaiprakash in the seventies failed for the reason that a revolution cannot be total. It has to be scientific and that shall be 'Samul Kranti' in the 21st century. He said Ultimate Revolution shall not require guns or nuclear arsenals or violence to achieve the results. He said that it is 'Samul Kranti' (Ultimate Revolution) that shall empower the youth and the students to bring a change in the human thinking process and thought. He said that the younger generation shall have to be trained as peace commandos who shall spread the message of peace and co-existence at home and abroad.
Prof. Bhim Singh declared that he shall announce his Abhiyan in November, 2009.
