2009 in San Francisco, Hasan Rizvi, Oracle Senior Vice President of
Oracle Fusion Middleware Product Development, demonstrated how Oracle Fusion
Middleware 11g uniquely provides customers with an integrated
foundation for innovation.
- The presentation showcased Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g, customer case
studies, product demonstrations, and outlined new feature plans for Oracle
Business Intelligence Suite, Oracle Enterprise Content Management Suite,
Oracle Tuxedo, Oracle Business Process Management, and Oracle Data
Integration.
- Presentation highlights included:
- An outline of how Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g helps deliver
productivity improvements and cost savings through integrations in
installation, development tools, run-time environment, management
facilities and identity management and security.
- Emphasizing additional investments Oracle plans to make to help ensure
Oracle Fusion Middleware maintains its industry best-of-breed status.
- An introduction of Oracle GoldenGate, the latest addition to the data

A Foundation for Innovation: Enabling Modern IT Infrastructures
- Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g helps enable customers to easily
develop and deploy a modern IT infrastructure in support of a cloud
computing environment -- internal, private clouds or external public
clouds.
- Rizvi outlined plans to introduce and enhance the following
components:
- Oracle Assembly Builder: plans include enabling a
single-click deployment of relevant application environment artifacts,
allowing customers to more quickly and easily deploy an enterprise
application or SOA service.
- Oracle Enterprise Content Management Suite: plans include the
most complete ECM platform by providing a unified repository with
end-to-end image processing. Oracle's plans include enabling more
efficient and timely reuse of content while also continue delivering
tighter integration with Oracle Applications as well as Oracle WebLogic
Server and other Oracle Fusion Middleware components.
- Oracle Business Intelligence Suite: plans include new
visualizations and a more dynamic interactive user experience, plus a new
Action Framework to help allow users to initiate business-improving actions
directly, in response to an analytic insight.
- Oracle Data Integration Suite: architected for enterprise
scalability, plans for Oracle Data Integration Suite include increasing
productivity and reducing
time-to-market through a unified set of design tools, pre-built
connectivity and content for Oracle Applications, as well as advanced
Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for embedding data integration
functionality in custom Java applications.
- Oracle Tuxedo: new application migration framework, and runtime
capabilities to help enable customers to more rapidly reduce costs and
achieve ROI when re-hosting mainframe applications to lower cost
distributed servers.
- Oracle Business Process Management: plans include a unified
process platform with rich and easy-to-use tools for enterprise architects,
business analysts, LOBs, IT operations staff and more.
